Coronation Live: King Charles and Queen Camilla Crowned in Historic Celebrations

In an event watched by millions of people around the world, King Charles and Queen Camilla were crowned in a historic coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey. The day was full of music, symbolism, and royal pageantry, with thousands of people lining the streets of London to catch a glimpse of the new King and Queen as they made their way to Buckingham Palace.

The ceremony was attended by around 2,200 people, including the Royal Family, celebrities, faith leaders, and heads of state from around the world. Among the attendees were 90 heads of state and 14 prime ministers from countries where the King is still their monarch, making the coronation an international event.

The King and Queen were joined on the balcony of Buckingham Palace by senior royals, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children. Notably absent was Prince Harry, who attended the coronation at Westminster Abbey but was not invited to appear on the balcony, according to the BBC.

The coronation was covered extensively by the media, with the BBC providing live coverage of the event. The BBC’s coverage included a coronation timetable, showing viewers the key moments of the day, as well as interviews with guests and analysis of the event.
